Mr. Michael Tan Thian Zhi  ("Mr. Michael") holds a Master of Science in Management (MSc Management) from Imperial College London and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (MEng Civil Engineering) from University College London. He is also a Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.

He possesses a multidisciplinary background that combines engineering expertise with strategic management capabilities, supported by experience across both technical and leadership roles within the construction and infrastructure industry.

He began his professional career as a Geotechnical Engineer with Borneo Highway PDP Sdn Bhd, the Project Delivery Partner ("PDP") for the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah. In this role, he was actively involved in coordinating design and construction activities for major infrastructure developments, while also overseeing geotechnical assessments and monitoring ground conditions to ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and 
regulatory standards throughout project implementation.

Subsequently, he advanced into leadership positions within established contractor companies specialising in government infrastructure and construction projects. In these roles, he has been responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership, and business development initiatives. His experience encompasses overseeing project execution, managing financial and operational performance, enhancing organisational efficiency, and ensuring strict adherence to contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements.

With a strong combination of technical proficiency and management acumen, Mr. Michael continues to contribute significantly to the successful delivery and growth of construction and infrastructure-related businesses.
