Dato' Ramli bin Haji Din has over 35 years of distinguished service in law enforcement and national security, having served in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) from 1987 until his retirement in 2022 as Commissioner of Police. Throughout his career, he held numerous senior leadership positions and played a significant role in shaping national policing management frameworks, operational standards, and strategic enforcement policies.

He began his career in the Royal Malaysia Police in 1987 and rose through the ranks to assume key command and policy-making appointments at both state and federal levels.

His leadership roles included Secretary of the Royal Malaysia Police, Chief Police Officer of Melaka, Commissioner of Police of Sabah and Sarawak, Director of Narcotics, Director of Management, Director of Crime Prevention and Community Safety, and Head of Research and Development.

Dato' Ramli possesses extensive experience in crime investigation, narcotics enforcement, strategic operations management, and public safety policy development.

He has led large-scale operational teams, managed complex enforcement strategies, and overseen organisational transformation initiatives within the police force. His tenure reflects strong capabilities in governance, crisis management, inter-agency coordination, and national-level policy execution. Through his decades of public service, Dato' Ramli brings deep expertise in security governance, regulatory compliance, strategic leadership, risk oversight, and stakeholder engagement at both national and operational levels.

He currently aslo serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of NEXG Berhad, having been appointed on 2 April 2026.
