Datu Monaliza Zaidel ("Datu Monaliza") has over 38 years of extensive experience in various fields, including engineering, facilities management, property development and construction as well as agriculture development.

Datu Monaliza started her career as an electrical engineer with Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak in 1986. She was seconded to Sarawak Incorporated Sdn Bhd from 2001 to 2005 where she was tasked to handle property management. From 2007 to 2009, she was seconded to LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Land Custody Development Authority ("LCDA"). Whilst in LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd, she was tasked to handle property management. In 2010, Datu Monaliza was seconded to the then Chief Minister's Department to assist in the Innovation Unit. The Innovation Unit was in-charge of creating transformations within Sarawak's civil service. In 2012, she was transferred back to LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd to handle property development. She was then appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Property) in 2017. In 2020, Datu Monaliza was appointed as the General Manager of the LCDA and Chief Executive Officer of LCDA Real Estate Sdn Bhd.

While she was the General Manager of the LCDA, Datu Monaliza also held directorships in the subsidiaries and associate companies of LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd which were primarily involved in property development and agriculture development. During that period, she was also a director in Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad, a public listed company. She retired from the LCDA in 2024.

Datu Monaliza is currently the Chairman of Puncak Borneo Development Sdn Bhd, a company in-charge of the redevelopment of Borneo Highland in Padawan. 

Datu Monaliza is registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia. She is also a certified Enterprise Risk Manager.
