The Board of Directors of Hiap Huat wishes to announce that the Company has received a notice dated 7 September 2026 from Messrs. TGS TW PLT ("TGS") regarding its resignation as the External Auditors of the Company ("Notice of Resignation").

Pursuant to Section 281(1) of the Companies Act 2016 ("CA 2016"), TGS has tendered its resignation as the External Auditors of the Company. In accordance with Section 281(2) of the CA 2016, TGS's term of office shall end with immediate effect, as specified in the Notice of Resignation. The resignation of TGS is on a voluntary basis.

Save for the above, the Board of Directors of Hiap Huat wishes to inform that the Company is not aware of any other matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of Hiap Huat.

The Company will make a further announcement in due course upon the appointment of new External Auditors to fill the casual vacancy pursuant to Section 271(2)(b) of the CA 2016.
