Reference is made to the Company's previous announcement dated 11 September 2026, 7 July 2025, 5 December 2025 and 8 December 2025.
The Board of Directors of BKCB wishes to provide the additional information as below:-
1. Date on which the Company and Yeo Eng Lam reached the amicable out-of-court settlement.
During the mediation held on 28 July 2026, the Judge proposed that the parties consider an amicable settlement to resolve the matter. Following the mediation, the Company made a settlement offer to Yeo Eng Lam on the same day. Yeo Eng Lam responded to the settlement offer on 3 August 2026.
The Board of Directors thereafter deliberated on the matter and, on 19 August 2026, agreed to proceed with the settlement. Following further negotiations, Yeo Eng Lam subsequently submitted a counter-proposal on 27 August 2026. Following further consideration, both parties confirmed the settlement amount and the terms of settlement on 3 September 2026.
The Company received the settlement sum of RM1.5 million on 11 September 2026, following which the Company made the relevant announcement.
2. Status of the Profit Guarantee recovery, including the amount settled ("Settlement")
The Profit Guarantee recovery has been settled through the amicable out-of-court settlement, with the Company receiving a settlement sum of RM1.5 million from Yeo Eng Lam on 11 September 2026. Pursuant to the settlement, the matter is considered fully settled and there are no further claims or demands between the parties in respect of the matter.
3. The financial and operational impact of the Settlement on the Group.
The Settlement has a positive financial impact of RM1.5 million on the Group. After taking into consideration estimated legal fees of approximately RM100,000, the net positive financial impact to the Group is approximately RM1.4 million. There is no material operational impact on the Group arising from the Settlement.
4. Expected losses if any, arising from the Settlement.
The Company does not expect any losses to arise from the Settlement.
