The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd ("PBAPP") (as the Plaintiff), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had on 3 March 2026 filed a Statement of Claim in the Penang High Court, bearing Civil Suit No. PA-22NCvC-34-03/2026, against Excel Focus Properties Sdn Bhd ("EFPSB") and Golden Village Properties Sdn Bhd ("GVPSB") (as co-developers) and Viewplex (M) Sdn Bhd ("VMSB") (as the independent contractor appointed by EFPSB and GVPSB) (collectively, the "Defendants") due to their works pertaining to the installation of electricity cable and horizontal directional drilling works around the locality which PBAPP claimed has caused damage to the pipe. PBAPP is claiming against the Defendants, jointly and/or severally, special damages of approximately RM5.2 million for costs and expenses incurred in connection with the repair and reinstatement works for the pipe and separately general damages, aggravated damages, exemplary damages, interests and costs.
