Reference is made to the earlier announcement dated 28 May 2026 in relation to the fire incident at PT. Adilmart.
The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to provide the following updates regarding the fire incident that occurred on 28 May 2026 at the Company's 60%-owned subsidiary, PT. Adilmart ("Adilmart"), which affected part of its manufacturing facility located in Cikupa, Tangerang, 15710 Banten, Indonesia ("Affected Facility").
1. Findings, Status of Operations, and Recovery
Following the incident, the relevant authorities and other appointed parties carried out the necessary safety inspections and assessment works at the Affected Facility. Based on the assessments completed to date, the affected areas have been identified and clean-up and recovery activities are ongoing. The Group is also continuing to work with the insurer in relation to the assessment of the insurance claim.
Based on the findings made available to the Group by the relevant authorities, the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. Approximately 85% of the production area was damaged by the fire, while the administrative office building remained completely unaffected. A major portion of the property, plant and equipment and inventories within the affected zone were damaged.
2. Mitigation and Alternative Production Facilities
To ensure business continuity, mitigate supply chain disruptions and cater to ongoing market demand, production has been redirected to alternative facilities:
Upon commencement of operations, the Boyolali facility is expected to provide substantially greater production capacity than that affected by the fire incident at the Cikupa manufacturing facility, while enhancing operational efficiencies and supporting further market expansion.
3. Financial Impact
The Group recognised approximately RM16.0 million in one-off fire-related expenses for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, comprising principally property, plant and equipment write-offs, inventory write-offs and other directly attributable costs. Based on the Group's assessment as at the date of this announcement, this represents the direct financial impact identified in relation to the incident and no further material direct fire-related write-offs are presently expected in the coming quarters.
The incident also resulted in lower production volumes at the Cikupa manufacturing facility during Q2FY2026. Excluding the approximately RM16.0 million in one-off fire-related expenses, the Group would have recorded an adjusted profit before tax of approximately RM17.9 million for Q2FY2026.
4. Insurance Claims
The Group has submitted an insurance claim in respect of the incident and had received insurance proceeds amounting to approximately RM3.4 million as at the date of its Q2FY2026 interim report. The RM3.4 million represents insurance proceeds received to date, while the final amount of insurance recovery remains subject to assessment by the insurer and has not been finalised.
The Group will continue to monitor the recovery process and provide further updates on any material developments, where appropriate, in accordance with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
This announcement is dated 30 September 2026.
