Having served as the Managing Partner of KPMG in Malaysia for over a decade, he has been a primary architect of the professional services landscape in the ASPAC region. His career is defined by high-stakes regulatory oversight, the chairmanship of multi-billion-ringgit organisations, and a steadfast commitment to nation-building through education and financial stability.

Datuk Johan is an Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Maxis Berhad.  Globalcomm Solutions Sdn Bhd, a 60%-owned subsidiary of the Company, and its subsidiary have ongoing business collaboration with Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Maxis Berhad, in relation to connectivity services and telecommunications infrastructure, including the leasing of telecommunications infrastructure and the procurement of wholesale internet bandwidth.  The interest is only to the extent of the common directorship.

He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of KLCC Property Holdings Berhad and KLCC Real Estate Investment Trust, which are involved in property investment, development, and the provision of management services.  Such activity may be regarded as being in competition with the Property Division of IJM Group. The interest is only to the extent of the common directorship.
