Unless otherwise defined, all abbreviation and definitions used herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the Announcement dated 12 October 2026.
Further to the Company's Announcement dated 12 October 2026 in respect to Originating Summons No. BA-28JM-12-09/2026 at the High Court of Malaya at Shah Alam, the Company wishes to announce the additional information as follows:-
(a) The delay in making announcement upon the receipt of the Originating Summons dated 27 September 2026 filed by Wijaya Sejahtera Sdn. Bhd. against Widad Builders Sdn. Bhd. ("WBSB") was due to the following reasons :-
(i) On 28 September 2026, WBSB legal counsel verbally updated that an application for Judicial Management ("JM") was filed against WBSB, during the hearing of Winding-up Petition by Sany Construction Sdn. Bhd. against WBSB.
(ii) On 29 September 2026, WBSB's legal counsel furnished a copy of the Originating summons. He further informed that he will be outside of Malaysia from 29 September 2026 until 16 October 2026 and he is unable to represent WBSB in the JM proceedings due to conflict of interest arising from his involvement in Sany Construction Sdn. Bhd. Winding-up petition case and has no prior experience in handling JM case.
(iii) Accordingly, WBSB sought to appoint new legal counsel which has relevant experience in handling Judicial Management matters. The new legal counsel was appointed on 5 October 2026.
(iv) On 9 October 2026, the new legal counsel updated that it represented WBSB during a case management via e-review on 7 October 2026.
(b) Outcome of the case management on 7 October 2026:-
(i) 20 October 2026 - the parties to file their respective affidavits and written submissions in relation to the Judicial Management Application.
(ii) 26 November 2026 - Hearing of the Judicial Management Application.
The Company will make the necessary announcements on any material developments in relation to the above matter as and when necessary.
